"We've worked with Mick and Luke on three projects at our house and won't hesitate to call them again in the future. Indoors we've found their work to be clean and efficient, with little disruption or mess. Mick understood our preference to use traditional techniques and materials for renovation work outdoors to the brickwork and chimney of our old cottage. More recently we employed to build a garden toom and install raised planters, fencing and paving.

"We discussed the ideas we had. Mr Staples helped us in the design, as it was not all cut and dried. He alerted us to potential pitfalls I.e. depth of service pipes etc and advised us of our options. The whole quote and design service provided, was with a problem solving and realistic approach.
The quote came in to supply and fit a new concrete drive, with blocks dividing, build a double skin retaining wall, provide drainage from the front of the house and down the side, under new path, to the back and fit a section of artificial grass by the front door.
The quote was good so we commissioned the work. Then Covid arrived. Our job was understandably delayed, but Mr Staples kept us informed until a time when they were able to commit to a start date.
Mr Staples works in partnership with his Son and they both turned up on the agreed day. Portions of the project could not be decided upon until other tasks had been completed, due to the odd levels the front of our property presented. These were dealt with in a very professional manner and we were kept informed at every step.
Mr Staples Son had just as much skill as his Father and his mini digger capabilities were exceptional. The whole site was dug out and most of the wall was also started within a week. The total time from start to finish was 3.5 weeks.
Our neighbours commented on the tidiness of the site and attention to detail when it came to keeping the environment clean and hazard free. Because of their experience and expertise, the whole process from start to finish was totally stress free and the end product is exceptional.
One thing I must add is the attention to detail these two builders provide is outstanding. I would highly recommend Roxton Building Services."

"Our tired drive and front lawn needed replacing. The grass demanded to be cut and the log roll holding the grass back, was hell bent on tripping us up as we left or approached our property.
The old concrete slabs, laid when our property was built, had served their purpose and were destined to carry on life at a quiet allotment in Grimsby.
What to do? The main objective was to create another parking space, to get one car off the road and onto the drive. The other objective was to make it virtually maintenance free.
A few ideas were considered but we finally came up with sectional concrete, separated with blocks and the addition of a small piece of artificial grass to give a bit of colour. Our drive is on a slope and as we were taking away the grass (natural soak away) we had to think about drainage. This also included supplying us with a new path down the side of the property.
One further issue was the drive adjacent would be higher if the grass was taken away, so we probably needed a retaining wall as well. Once we had an idea in our heads it was then the time to consider who was going to implement our plan.
As we live in Keelby, we were well aware of Roxton Building Services, as they are local to the village. We were also aware of projects in the village they had completed and had not heard one bad thing said against them.
We had had a couple of quotes for Tarmac to be laid, so we had a fair idea of what the cost for concrete would be. We contacted Mick Staples and he came to give us a quote.
Extremely happy with all the works Roxton Builders have done for us. We are delighted with everything. So clean and conscientious. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting building work doing from nothing was too much for them. Thank you Very much.
